The Foundation funds original and high-impact basic and clinical research projects on other disciplines, capable of accelerating research by removing existing obstacles and whose impact is clearly measurable.
International and interdisciplinary collaborations are encouraged.
The application must establish why the project is ineligible for other funding sources and why you want to be funded by Velux Stiftung.

Projects that will not be funded:
Aging biology research projects that aim to slow, pause or reverse the aging process will no longer be considered for funding.
Likewise, medical research on the aetiology, diagnosis and therapy (development and evaluation) of age-related diseases will no longer be supported.
