Research where the primary focus is health systems or health services research, implementation research or intervention science, health economics, or community development is not funded. We also do not support projects that aim to develop eye care skills (e.g. innovative ways to train eye care professionals).
Basic, clinical, epidemiological, technological development studies and studies to understand the basics and test new methods of prevention of visual impairment will only be considered if the context, environment and specificities of the relevant LMIC are taken into account.
