The call is intended to support research projects aimed at identifying and understanding the molecular basis of a human pathology identified a priori. The proponents will take care to specify the target pathology and the molecular mechanism they intend to study within the project. All human pathologies are admissible, with the exception of amyotrophic sclerosis and oncological diseases.
Through the announcement, the Foundation aims to offer young researchers the opportunity to develop and strengthen independent careers, conducting research projects under its own responsibility. The proposals may provide for clear leadership of the young scientific manager, without raising ambiguity about his actual role in conducting the research activities.

Who can participate:
Requirements for participation as an IP:
1) from 2 to 7 years of experience gained after the attainment of the research doctorate / medical specialization (qualification obtained between 03/16/15 and 03/16/20, except for the extensions specified in the text of the announcement;
2) maximum age of 40 years as of 03/16/22;
3) at least one original scientific article as first or last author in a peer-reviewed journal;
4) an h-index ≥ 6 or at least one publication as first / last author in a journal with an Impact Factor ≥ 10 or at least two publications as first / latest author in journals with an Impact Factor ≥ 5.
